Axis Insurance Agency, LLC was created in September, 2006 by Paula Vesely without any premium volume. Through hard work and dedication to her clients, the agency has built a strong base of clientele over the last several years, as well as solid reputation within the community.

Meet Our Team

Paula Vesely

Paula Vesely is the sole owner of Axis Insurance Agency, which she started in 2006. Her goal as an independent agent is to provide clients with a unique insurance buying experience that puts their needs first and protects what is most important to them. Paula has a degree in Marketing and began her insurance career in 2001. She is married and has two boys that keep her busy with baseball, basketball and wrestling. She enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as volunteering for local non-profit organizations.

Chad Esker

Chad Esker has been an agent with Axis Insurance Agency since 2009. His goal is to provide his customers with the best possible coverage, prices and service in the industry. When Chad is not at work he’s most likely competing in a triathlon, boating with friends or spending time landscaping his property.

Kris Wagner

Kris Wagner started her insurance career with Axis Insurance Agency in 2010, specializing in personal lines sales and customer service. Kris works hard every day to provide her clients with the most comprehensive products at competitive prices and strives to do what is always best for the insured. When not working, Kris enjoys spending time on the water with her husband, family, and friends.

Julia Butkus

Julia Butkus is a licensed agent who started her insurance career in 2014 when she moved back to the Wausau area after college. Being an Abbotsford native, she is familiar with the small-town ideals of hard work and quality customer service which she strives to deliver every day. In addition to spending time with family, friends, and her two dogs, Julia enjoys everything Wisconsin has to offer has to offer from the big cities to camping in the Northwoods.
